Microsoft Accelerator in India and TCS Co-Innovation Network (COIN) announced a joint initiative to create a platform to support the startup ecosystem by going beyond just connecting startups to customers but actually helping them understand the customer problems.
TCS COIN is an ecosystem comprising of venture capitalists, educational institutions, partners, and startups to provide a collaborative innovation environment, thereby solving their unique customer pain points.
In most cases, chief information officers (CIOs) do not look for siloed solutions but a holistic solution stack and the joint initiative will help startups take the combined solutions to the customers, Ravi Narayan, Global Director, Microsoft Accelerator said.
Under the joint collaboration announced at the Microsoft Accelerator’s flagship programme Think Next Summer 2016, startups will be mentored such that their innovative solutions can be brought to the market.
“As we enter a new phase of rapid innovation and computing, companies must co-innovate and create strategic partnerships to solve challenging problems of their customers. The partnership will offer participating startups access to the expertise and client base of both TCS and Microsoft,” said Nagaraj Ijari, VP & global head, Hi-Tech solutions Unit, TCS.
