Excerpts from the press release:
This implementation has been a great success with deployment into the production system on time and with no impacts to business as usual processes, and an unprecedented ‘zero defects’ in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Industry trials.
This is a massive achievement and is testament to the tremendous effort from everyone involved –Xoserve, TCS and our stakeholders and to the highly effective engagement with the industry.
Amar Anbalagan, Project Manager for TCS, said: “TCS are very happy to be collaborating with Xoserve to deliver another successful implementation within the Smart Metering Programme. We look forward to further successes on what is an important Programme for Xoserve, TCS and the Industry as a whole.”
The information that Xoserve and the electricity Registration Data Providers (RDPs) pass on to the Data Communications Company (DCC) is crucial to the success of the Smart Metering roll out in the UK. The data Xoserve provides will allow the DCC to identify who owns the gas supply at each and every property in the country; without it the Programme cannot succeed.
