Reimagining the Role of Telcos

In today’s digital landscape, telcos are evolving beyond connectivity providers to become orchestrators of intelligent, personalized experiences. TCS demonstrated how we are helping CSPs:

We demonstrated our dedication to these goals through a range of initiatives

1. Thought leadership and expert panels

Panel 1: Outthink, outbuild, outpace: harnessing AI to conquer challenges, accelerate launches, and monetize data

Sujatha Gopal, CTO – CMI, TCS, joined industry leaders including Anita Tadayon, Director, Plan, Transform & Perform CTO, Virgin Media O2, to explore the risks and rewards of integrating AI into product development. The session highlighted successful AI

applications that unlocked new revenue streams and the key factors driving their success.

Panel 2: Building autonomous networks: redefining “AI-first” engineering practices for customer centricity

Moderated by Pramath Jha, Distinguished Architect, CTO Office, CMI, TCS, this session featured the following experts:

Eva Ulicevic , Director of Architecture, Strategy and Analytics, Telefónica Germany
Gaston De Arriba, General Manager Technology & Service Operations, TPG Telecom Australia
Girish Mahajan, Head of AI Data and Automation, Mobile Networks, BT Group.

The discussions centered on designing the future “Network on Cloud” fabric, leveraging data and AI, and the critical need to upskill the next-generation network engineer.

2. Industry Research Spotlight:

TCS CMI collaborated with Heavy Reading to conduct a survey in March 2025 and launch an industry report titled: Plotting a course toward autonomous operations. The report talks about where communications service providers (CSPs) are in planning for and implementing autonomous operations (AO).

3. Strategic Partnerships:

Unlocking the B2B Value of 5G

Nik Adatia, Head of Advisory, Europe & UK, TCS CMI and Dr. Jane Frances Pajo from Telenor Research & Innovation presented a joint success story on 5G SA Mobile Private Network end-to-end automation and deployment—a testament to the power of co-innovation and ecosystem collaboration.

4. Innovation Showcase at DTW 2025

Through the TM Forum Catalyst Program, TCS demonstrated its commitment to purposeful innovation with five co-innovation projects. Out of 58 global entries, it was exciting to note that four TCS partnered projects ranked in the top five, with one winning the prestigious Moonshot Award.
