TDC Net partnered with TCS to mitigate operational and knowledge risks posed by decades‑old legacy systems using a human‑in‑the‑loop AI approach.
TDC Net operates critical national telecom infrastructure that supports millions of daily interactions across Denmark. Over time, many of the systems underpinning these operations had become increasingly complex, customised, and undocumented, thereby creating significant operational risk. Much of the knowledge required to maintain and evolve these systems existed only with the original developers, many of whom were no longer available.
Recognising the need to modernise without disrupting business continuity, TDC Net partnered with TCS as a transformation partner. The objective was not only to migrate technology, but also to interpret, preserve, and document critical business logic embedded within legacy applications supporting integrations, analytics, and technician dispatch workflows.
Together, TDC Net and TCS adopted an AI-led approach guided by strong human oversight. Engineers from both organisations worked side by side with AI models to analyse legacy code, validate outputs, and ensure accuracy through rigorous quality checks. This human-in-the-loop approach enabled TDC Net to accelerate while maintaining control, reliability, and accountability across high-stakes systems.
