Plaza Premium Group
Headquartered in Hong Kong, Plaza Premium Group operates airport hospitality services in more than 160 locations worldwide, making consistency, governance, and scalability critical considerations for finance operations.
As hospitality businesses expand across geographies, maintaining consistent finance operations becomes increasingly difficult. Organisations must balance local business requirements with the need for standardised processes, stronger controls, reliable data, and governance that can scale across the enterprise.
Plaza Premium Group (PPG) faced this challenge as it continued to grow its global airport hospitality business. Operating in more than 160 locations worldwide, the company sought a more consistent approach to finance operations that could support future growth while improving visibility, control, and operational discipline.
The answer would require more than a technology upgrade. PPG needed a repeatable model that could establish global standards while accommodating local operating requirements and future expansion plans.
The program had to translate PwC-defined to-be processes into D365 Finance product design, manage dependencies across business, IT, peripheral systems and data owners, and deliver within an aggressive timeline. Key delivery risks included delayed process transition, data quality, legacy Sun System migration, integration readiness, UAT completion, cutover governance, security role validation and production readiness for business use.
TCS combined D365 Finance product blueprinting, solution architecture, data migration, integration, testing, cutover, go-live and hypercare execution with structured governance and a phased rollout model.

TCS was instrumental in bringing our Microsoft Dynamics 365 vision to life. Their expertise, commitment, and collaborative approach enabled the successful launch of the Hong Kong entity as the first deployment within the PPG landscape, setting a strong benchmark for future rollouts. Throughout the journey, TCS demonstrated exceptional leadership, deep functional knowledge, and a relentless focus on business outcomes. The result is a robust, scalable platform that has strengthened our finance operations and positioned us for future growth. TCS has proven to be a trusted strategic partner, and we greatly value the impact they have delivered throughout this journey."
Headquartered in Hong Kong, Plaza Premium Group operates airport hospitality services in more than 160 locations worldwide, making consistency, governance, and scalability critical considerations for finance operations.
To support future growth, PPG needed more than a successful technology implementation. The company needed a finance model that could be replicated across markets while maintaining consistency, governance, and control.
The challenge was translating future-state finance processes into a practical operating model that could support both global standardisation and local execution. PPG needed to align business stakeholders, IT teams, data owners, and peripheral systems while managing dependencies across process design, integrations, security, testing, and deployment activities.
The programme also carried several delivery risks. Data quality issues, legacy Sun System migration requirements, integration readiness, user acceptance testing, security role validation, cutover governance, and production readiness all had the potential to impact the success of the pilot.
TCS helped PPG navigate these complexities by supporting the design and execution of the Hong Kong pilot, creating a governed approach that could serve as the foundation for broader deployment across the business.
PPG wasn't simply launching a pilot. The implementation needed to move at an aggressive pace while creating a template for future rollouts beyond Hong Kong.
Creating a repeatable model required more than configuring a new finance platform. It demanded a structured approach that could translate future-state business processes into a practical finance operating model while reducing risk throughout the implementation journey.
TCS followed a phased enterprise resource planning (ERP) transformation approach, beginning with product blueprinting, fit-gap analysis, solution architecture, integration planning, and data migration strategy. Signed-off business processes were translated into D365 Finance designs, helping establish a common framework for both the Hong Kong pilot and future rollout phases.
As the implementation progressed, TCS supported the configuration of core finance capabilities while helping PPG manage integrations, testing, and data migration activities across the environment. The programme brought together business, technology, and operational stakeholders to validate processes, prepare users, and ensure readiness for production deployment.
Key elements of the approach included:
Through each phase, deployment was managed through structured approval gates, including SIT, UAT, pre-production validation, mock migrations, production approvals, and go-live readiness reviews. This disciplined approach helped reduce implementation risk while supporting a smooth transition into production.
For global hospitality companies, finance transformation is about more than implementing a new ERP platform. It requires creating consistent processes, stronger governance, and a model that can scale across locations, markets, and operating environments.
The TCS team helped PPG create that foundation, establishing a more consistent and governed approach to finance operations while laying the groundwork for future global expansion.
The Hong Kong pilot successfully reached production go-live, with configuration data, master data, business users, security roles, integrations, and workflow services successfully deployed and validated. Post-deployment health checks identified no critical issues, and a structured hypercare process was established to support business operations.
More importantly, the pilot proved the viability of the blueprint, governance model, migration approach, and deployment framework developed for the programme. With processes, controls, data structures, and delivery practices validated in Hong Kong, PPG now has a governed finance template that can be adapted and expanded across future markets.
What began as a pilot implementation became the foundation for a broader global finance journey.
From blueprinting to hypercare, every phase of the programme was designed to ensure the Hong Kong pilot could serve as a repeatable model for future global rollouts.
