The North America edition of the TCS Innovation Forum 2021 brought together leaders from business, technology, finance, and innovation to discuss the role of collaboration and ecosystems in creating more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient futures for all.
In his keynote address, TCS Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer K Ananth Krishnan shared insights on accelerating innovation for a better and greener tomorrow.
The ecosystem advantge
He illustrated the ecosystem advantage by showcasing an autonomous mobile robot to fulfil the rising need of home delivery, built by combing cognitive robotics technology and autonomous logistics. The features of the product, when scaled, would be useful in several industries, Krishnan added.

A panel discussion on building sustainable futures for a better tomorrow, moderated by TV presenter Spencer Kelly had Krishnan, Albert Ma, Vice President – Information Technology, Southern California Edison, and Mark Fox, Professor, University of Toronto, discuss the evolution of smart cities, especially in the wake of COVID-19. The panelists spoke about the ways to leverage data and analytics available on human behavior to take decisions around sustainability goals, and Southern California Edison’s efforts toward renewable energy. The idea exchange centered on how businesses use technology in their sustainability journeys.
