Tata Consultancy Services Expands its 25-Year Partnership with VIAVI to Transform its Test Framework and Build a Platform Agonistic Solution to Test Interoperability with Large OEMs
CHANDLER | MUMBAI, October 26, 2023: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS) has helped VIAVI Solutions, a global network test, monitoring, and assurance solutions provider, transform its 5G O-RAN (Open Radio Access Network) test solutions that enable device manufacturers and others to launch 5G innovations faster.
VIAVI partnered with TCS to co-create an end-to-end test framework solution for interoperability testing of O-RAN devices for successful integration with key equipment manufacturers globally. As a part of this co-innovation, TCS built an intuitive platform-agnostic solution, simplifying testing operations and reimagining the user experience for system testers, field engineers, and technology partners. TCS is also helping VIAVI demonstrate and operate customized test suites as per the end customer’s requirements.
The future-ready scalable test solution helped VIAVI reimagine service delivery, enabling its customers to launch innovative new products more quickly with enhanced regulatory compliance. The solution’s configurability and rich functionality helped VIAVI tap a broad market segment with diverse clients ranging from network equipment manufacturers and tier-2 OEMs to integration and conformance labs and network operators.
Through their 25-year partnership, TCS and VIAVI co-innovated across every new generation of technology from 2G onwards, shaping the technology ecosystem. TCS has played a key role in VIAVI’s growth and transformation, collaborating across new product development, managing existing product portfolios, integrating new products from acquisitions, and reimagining critical business functions. More recently, TCS helped VIAVI develop a first-of-its-kind 5G Open RAN portfolio of test verification and assurance solutions such as TM500 O-RU Tester, TeraVM O-DU Tester, and an end-to-end Open RAN test product suite.
