Changing market needs call for a strategy rethink
Lexmark needed a future-ready digital platform for its SAP product suite.
Lexmark, an imaging solutions leader serving customers in more than 170 countries, was reimagining its operations to align with the changing market conditions and capture a larger share of both the printer and print management market. Over the past decade, prudent investments in cloud platforms and the latest SAP solutions have enabled Lexmark’s IT to sustain the growth momentum. However, its future business roadmap demanded that the company reimagine its IT strategy and technology stack to support business goals.
Tapping into cloud for business value realization
TCS helps Lexmark establish a digital footprint to leverage innovations on SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud.
TCS partnered with Lexmark on its cloud transformation journey to create a foundation for future growth through technology and application upgrades and migration of their landscape to SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud (SAP HEC). Adopting the new platform posed complexities such as change management, application upgrades, and re-platforming of several mission-critical SAP applications.
TCS helped Lexmark achieve its transformation goals, enabling business value realization in the short term and driving long-term benefits. We leveraged Machine First Delivery Model (MFDM™), industry domain knowledge, and automation tool suites to upgrade Lexmark’s core SAP product suite and ensure certainty in the outcomes. TCS’ contextual knowledge of Lexmark’s system, process rigor, and tool-based approaches ensured that the program was executed successfully during the COVID-19 pandemic and included industry-first implementations such as the re-platforming of the SAP Convergence charging application on to SAP HEC.
