Overview
Petco is a leading pet health and wellness company with more than 1,500 pet care centers across the US, Mexico, and Puerto Rico.
The client wanted to strengthen their finance planning system to deliver even greater scalability, real-time analysis, and enhanced user experience. They partnered with TCS to implement a new system. TCS helped revamp their core finance ERP, the heart of the transformation program, setting the client up for limitless expansion.
Challenge
Petco wanted to transform their finance function to support growth.
As Petco’s business evolved, they identified new needs and opportunities for optimization within their finance and accounting operations. Petco set in motion a project that aimed at transitioning systems while ensuring regulatory compliance and providing enhanced capabilities. The finance transformation also helped with integrated planning activities, plan adjustments, and prevention of manual processes.
Solution
Petco’s objective was to implement a new, scalable financial system and deploy world-class processes with minimal business disruption.
The program objectives included:
- Adherence to regulatory compliance and standards
- Re-engineering chart of accounts for retail, wholesale, service provider, franchisee management
Petco selected TCS because of our experience working with leading global retailers and TCS’ Oracle Centre of Excellence (COE) team that has the expertise to implement Oracle Financials Cloud. TCS deployed three key solutions—Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials, Oracle Cloud Risk Management, and Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) to transform Petco’s financial accounting and planning processes.
