As the world’s fastest electric cars return to the streets of Jeddah, TCS is proud to bring an experience that goes beyond the race for rounds four and five of Season 12 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.
TCS is the Title and Technology Partner for Jaguar TCS Racing, supporting the team with cutting-edge digital innovation. In Formula E, intelligent performance meets sustainability and the next generation of mobility. This partnership helps shape the future of electric mobility, redefining what’s possible on and off the track.
Jaguar TCS Racing, 2024 Formula E Teams’ World Champions, is redefining electric vehicle technology and sustainability. Formula E is about more than just racing—it’s about pioneering the future of electric mobility and sustainability, a vision that resonates deeply with Saudi Arabia’s own national ambitions.
For more than a decade, TCS has leveraged advanced technology to help JLR accelerate their electrification journey. Today, Formula E represents a real-world, data-driven laboratory where intelligence shapes performance with purpose. With advanced technology like digital twins, TCS helps Jaguar TCS Racing unlock insights that enable adaptability, accelerate innovation, and drive sustainable outcomes—on the track and beyond.
Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 places sustainable mobility and clean energy at the heart of its transformation. Saudi Arabia is investing billions to become a global leader in electric vehicles, aiming for 30% of cars in Riyadh to be electric by 2030, and rolling out 5,000 fast-charging stations nationwide.
Building a perpetually adaptive racing team
Formula E’s strict rules and temporary street circuits limit physical testing for Jaguar TCS Racing. To overcome this, TCS built the Virtual Vehicle Validation Model (V3M), enabling digital twins to run continuous simulations and validate software changes rapidly. This innovation saves critical prep time, keeping the team perpetually adaptive and competitive.
Why does this matter?
In Formula E, teams can make changes to the vehicle software right up to the very last moment in pursuit of performance gains. The V3M saves Jaguar TCS Racing engineers critical time during race preparation, allowing them to stay perpetually adaptive and to unlock creativity and innovation.
