On Sunday, November 3, more than 50,000 runners crossed the finish line of the TCS New York City Marathon in Central Park. This year marks more than a decade of Tata Consultancy Services as the title sponsor of the event, where sports and technology come together to transform communities. Over the last 10+ years, close to 500,000 runners have crossed the finish, and the TCS New York City Marathon App has been downloaded more than four million times, which is more than eight downloads per finisher. Spectators use the app to track and watch runners, view the pro races, and access exclusive data and facts. They can even create digital cheer cards to encourage runners over the 26.2 miles course. Overall, TCS sponsors the TCS New York City Marathon to showcase purpose-led innovation, inspire positive change, and engage TCS customers and employees to make a difference.
