August 2026 marked a defining moment in Jaguar TCS Racing’s journey as the team secured the 2025/26 ABB FIA Formula E Teams’ World Championship at a dramatic season finale in London. The title, Jaguar TCS Racing’s seconds Teams’ World Championship in three seasons, saw the team close out the Gen3 era as Formula E’s most successful team.
After a tense opening race on Saturday 15th August, the title was decided on Sunday 16th August, with Jaguar TCS Racing delivering when it mattered most. Across the season, the team secured 288 points, four victories and ten podium finishes, finishing 17 points clear of their nearest rival and demonstrating the consistency and resilience needed to become World Champions.
At the heart of the campaign was the Jaguar I-TYPE 7, the team’s most advanced and successful electric race car to date. Combining cutting edge engineering, energy management, and performance optimisation, the car played a pivotal role in a season that further cemented Jaguar TCS Racing’s place at the forefront of all electric motorsport.
The London E-Prix marked the end of an era for Mitch Evans, who took to the grid for his final race with Jaguar TCS Racing after a decade with the team. A determined drive to fourth place helped secure the championship, whilst Evans finished third overall in the Drivers’ standings, narrowly missing out on the title by just nine points. He leaves Jaguar TCS Racing as the most successful driver in the team’s history.

What does success look like beyond the racetrack?
Alongside the London E-Prix weekend, TCS and Jaguar TCS Racing took on an ambitious challenge away from the racetrack: creating the largest GPS drawing on foot completed within 12 hours. The objective was to trace the outline of the Jaguar I-TYPE 7 across the streets of London using GPS technology, whilst meeting the strict criteria required for official Guinness World Records recognition.
Bringing together a relay team of 31 runners from the TCS and Jaguar TCS Racing ecosystem, the challenge began at 6am outside the TCS office at 22 Bishopsgate. Participants carried a single GPS device, passing it baton-style between runners as they progressed through different sections of the route. What sounds straight forward in principle required extensive planning, coordination, and precision to successfully bring the image to life.
Throughout the day, runners navigated temperatures reaching 36 degrees, busy London streets, pedestrians, traffic, and unexpected obstacles, all whilst ensuring the route remained on track. Success depended on every participant completing their section and handing over seamlessly to the next runner.
The challenge was officially recognised with a Guinness World Record title, creating a monumental achievement for both TCS and Jaguar TCS Racing.
More than a record-breaking accomplishment, it demonstrated how technology, teamwork, and determination can combine to deliver something extraordinary. Much like success in Formula E, the achievement was built on collaboration and shared a commitment to pushing boundaries.
What does the future of electric motorsport look like?
The London finale marked more than the end of a successful season. It also signalled the conclusion of the Gen3 era, a transformative period that pushed boundaries of electric racing performance and efficiency.
As the sport prepares to enter the Gen4 era, excitement is building around the next wave of innovation. The new generation of Formula E cars will deliver increased power, substantially greater regenerative capability, peak outputs of up to 600kw and top speeds exceeding 335km/h, representing a significant step forward in electric racing technology.
