The 18th edition of TCS World 10K Bengaluru witnessed new records being broken, goals being pursued, and the true spirit of community coming alive on Sunday, April 26. Even before the first rays of the sun touched the ground, runners were already on the racetrack, gearing up for an unforgettable experience.
The energy and vibrancy of over 35,000 participants crossing the finish line brought the entire city to life. The race was enjoyed by runners of all ages and from all walks of life. Despite the city’s soaring temperatures, the spirit of the participants remained undampened, as they were cheered on at almost every step by enthusiastic cheering squads and spectators who lined the roads solely to motivate and support them.
This World Athletics Gold Label Race stood as a testament to the growing intensity with which people across the country and around the globe are embracing running. What was once just a sport has now evolved into a symbol of health, fitness, and community spirit.
Here’s a glimpse of the race day and events leading up to it.
Swipe LeftSwipe RightI would like to congratulate everybody who participated in this year’s race. I am so proud of you. It is not easy to run 10K, especially when it is so hot, but I am sure you were motivated to finish because of the crowd that was cheering you and your personal goals. I want to encourage you to keep going. This should not be your last. Keep being active every day, or at least a couple of times a week, and find your next goal.

At the TCS World 10K Expo in Bengaluru, an interactive, runner-focused AI installation stood out as one of the event’s most engaging attractions. The TCS stall saw a steady flow of participants coming in to experience an activation that turned their race journey into a personalised, memorable moment.
Hosted on the Azure cloud, the experience was powered by Generative AI to create unique comic-style visuals and fun, tailored race-day predictions. It was generated by simply entering their bib number, answering three quick race-related questions and capturing a photo.
Over three days, ~550–600 participants used the kiosk (about 1 poster every 2–3 minutes), drawing sustained queues at the booth and delivering a share-worthy, privacy-aware experience that showcased TCS’s technical finesse in experience engineering and personalisation with AI at scale.
The experience sparked strong engagement across all expo days, with runners enthusiastically downloading their customised creations via QR codes and sharing them with friends and family. This activation exemplified how human+AI collaboration can seamlessly bring together technology, sport and storytelling to create meaningful, scalable and highly engaging experiences.
We organised a run club clinic as part of the build-up to TCS World 10K Bengaluru, bringing together runners of all levels for an early-morning guided community run.
The runners were supported by professional trainers and led by experienced pacers across different pace groups, helping participants better understand effort and pacing. The session focused on warm-up, cool-down, race readiness, and pacing. Through expert-led guidance and interactive conversations, participants gained insights into smart training, consistency, mindset, and simple habits to support recovery and confidence, reinforcing our commitment to wellness and community building.
