TCS-DOW Journey toward Value Creation 

The TCS–Dow Shared Services Model, called “Business Process Service Center” (BPSC), delivers end-to-end services such as procurement, customer service, environment health and safety, finance and accounting, HR operations, business intelligence, supply chain design and information systems.

Supply chain services include designing the supply chain, running the supply chain, planning and scheduling for raw materials, looking into contract manufacturing and replenishment of raw materials, scheduling production and creating reports to track the performance of the supply chain across businesses. F&A services provided include cash applications, general accounting, fixed assets, statutory and regulatory reporting, and invoicing.

Dow-TCS RelationshipIn November 2009, Dow and TCS announced plans to form an innovative business alliance that will provide critical business services to Dow, its subsidiaries and joint ventures. The alliance is an expansion of an existing relationship between Dow and TCS, combining Dow’s leading chemical industry knowledge and operational discipline with TCS’ service delivery expertise.

As part of this alliance and global network, a strategic services center will be built in Midland, Michigan, and this facility will support the local economy through the creation of new jobs in the region.
